Here’s a delicious dip perfectly suited for the holidays or anytime you want to munch on a healthy appetizer. And best of all, you can whip it up in your food processor in less than 5 minutes.
NO: gluten, dairy, egg, soy, nuts, fish , shellfish
Red Pepper Hummus
Ingredients:
1 can Canned organic garbanzo beans (rinsed and drained)
1/4 C Tahini
1-2 T Fresh lemon juice
3 T Minced garlic
1 C Jarred roasted red peppers, drained
4 sprigs Fresh basil
1 1/2 t Oregano, dried
1 – 2 t Smoky paprika
1/4 – 1/3 C Balsamic vinegar
1 t Salt
1/2 t Gluten free, soy-free Chili paste or hot sauce
1/4 C Extra virgin olive oil
Directions:
1. Place all ingredients into food processor and blend until smooth.
2. Taste and adjust seasonings as needed.
3. Refrigerate for at least an hour. Serve
Yield: 3 cups
